After all, as soon as the first car was built, it was only a short minute before someone created another to see which one was faster. Though while auto racing has become a serious sport with big prizes and reputations, not all are grim and humorless. It's time to uncover the history of some of the world's oddest races, from the fast and dangerous to the bizarre and outlandish.
